Itinerary of the Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

The Tour from Marrakech starts from the airport of Marrakech. After a tour of the city, we’ll take you to your accommodation to get some rest.

Day 2: Marrakech – Essaouira

We travel to Essaouira City in the West after breakfast. We’ll stop along the journey for panoramic views, to observe the goats and Argan trees. We arrive at Essaouira, previously Mogador, one of Morocco’s significant coastal cities. In which the historic medina, the cannon-equipped walls from antiquity, and the fishing harbor are all visited. Stay the night in Essaouira.

Day 3: Essaouira – Guided tour of Marrakech

We go back to Marrakech after breakfast, where we will have a native guide show us the city’s top attractions.

The town is regarded as one of Morocco’s imperial cities. The Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Ben Youssef Quranic mosque are all included in the tour. And take a walk around Morocco’s biggest traditional souk. Lunchtime free time close to Jemaa El-Fna plaza.

Later, you visit the Majorelle garden and the biggest mosque in Marrakech, the Koutoubia. Finally, make the journey to your hotel. You are welcome to independently explore Jemaa El-Fna Square.

Day 4: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Telouat Kasbah – Ouarzazate

This day of the Tour from Marrakech begins with being picked up early from your hotel. After crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, go straight ahead to the lovely High Atlas highlands.

The famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a walled hamlet that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is where we next head. A number of movies and television shows have used The Kasbah, most notably Game of Thrones. Then, for supper and overnight accommodations, we go to Ouarzazate, sometimes referred to as “The Gate of the Desert.”

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Rose valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we will pick you up and take you to one of the movie studios where many films have been produced before traveling to Rose Valley. In May, locals have a Rose Festival when they offer their handmade wares. We go on to the Todra Gorges next.

After that, we pass via Erfoud, Tinjdad, and Touroug. Then we reach Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. To get throughout the arid desert, camels will be used. You will be led to the peak of a soaring dune to see the setting sun.

Travel to the camp and dance the night away to Berber drum music around the campfire beneath the expansive starry sky. Included are supper and one night spent in a tent in the desert.

Day 6: Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

A breathtaking dawn over the desert is a must-see, followed by a Moroccan breakfast. The moment you return to Merzouga riding camels, the driver will be waiting to pick you up.

Along with a stunning oasis, the area also has dunes, natural lakes, mines, and fossil sites. There are many outdoor activities that these places are great for.

We travel off-road to an old eyeliner mine near Merzouga. Then we came to nomads in their improvised tents. Have some Berber tea while learning about their culture! Our next visit will be the Khamlia hamlet, where you may listen to Gnaoua music.

After lunch, we find the palm tree grove. Our next visit is Flamingo Lake, a natural lake close to Merzouga. Have dinner and stay the night in a hotel.

Day 7: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

In order to go to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, we leave the desert. A significant economic hub in the area is the city of Rissani, which houses a sizable souk. After seeing the Rissani souk and going to a petrified marble factory, we continue on to Erfoud.

We go along the Ziz River. To take in the expansive panorama of the Ziz valley, we come to a stop. We lunch in Midelt and then travel to the cedar forest to see the Barbary Macaques. We fly to Ifrane, a city renowned for its frigid temperatures, snow, and residences built in an Alpine style.

We will drop you off at your accommodation once you get in Fes.

Day 8: Fes City Tour

We will have a native guide show us around Fes after breakfast on this Tour from Marrakech. Our first visits of the day are the Royal Palace entrance and the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, the well-preserved medieval Medina.

The entrance to the ancient Medina is the Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud. The Quaraouin mosque, the oldest university in the world, the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najarine fountain, the tanneries, and more can all be seen by entering the Medina.

After that, we leave Medina and travel to “the Mellah,” the Jewish neighborhood. For a sweeping perspective of the Medina and the city of Fes, we travel to an ancient fortification in the late afternoon. Go to a Riad for the night.

Day 9: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

We set out for Meknes, the capital of the Ismailis and one of the imperial towns. We go to the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum as well as Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, and the granary.

After lunch, we make a 30-kilometer trip to Volubilis to see the historic Roman remains. Due to UNESCO’s designation of it as a World Heritage Site, it has been beautifully protected. It also contains historic pillars and arches, as well as several lovely mosaics that are strewn throughout.

After exploring the remains, we go through Ouazzane to Chefchaouen, commonly known as the Blue City, which is located in the Rif Mountains. The city is renowned for its blue-painted structures and alleys. Spend the night in a hotel.

Day 10: Tangier Airport

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Tangier Airport via the Rif mountains to end our Tour from Marrakech.
