Itinerary of the Sahara Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga

The Sahara Tour from Fes to Marrakech has begun! From where you’re staying in Fes, we’ll pick you up and drive you to Ifrane via Imouzzer. The city is well-known for its chilly weather, heavy snowfall, and homes of Alpine architectural features. That is why many call it a miniature Switzerland of Morocco.

Our next stop is the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary macaques. Please try to feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we’ll eat lunch in Midelt. We continue to Merzouga over the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley after halting for panoramic views.

We will go to Merzouga in the late afternoon to experience the Moroccan Saharan desert on a camel. You’ll stop to watch the sunset from the top of a high dune. Ultimately, you get at the camp, which is a hybrid of basic nomadic tents and hotel magnificence.

Make sure to dance around the bonfire and take in the beat of the Berber drums as you gaze up at the stars in the clear night sky. Dinner and an overnight stay will be provided by the desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todgha gorges – Dades valley

Breakfast is followed by a trip to Rissani town, the former capital of Tafilalet, before we depart for the desert. Rissani is a vital regional commercial centre, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

We proceed to Erfoud after touring Rissani Souk and seeing one of the petrified marble workshops. We proceed through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra river’s course has carved a vast canyon through the mountains, with red cliff sides. Rock climbers will love these gorges.

After lunch, we travel to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. We’ll pause at the rocky feature known as “monkey fingers,” which provides a view of the Dades valley. Even Moroccans and locals can’t get enough of Morocco’s this natural treasure, which is also known as The Cliffs of Talmat.

You have dinner and an overnight stay scheduled at a hotel.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we travel to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley. Residents offer rose goods ranging from fragrances and rose water to cosmetics at the Rose Festival in May. Then we go through Skoura’s palm groves. We eventually arrive at the Desert Gate, popularly known as Ouarzazate. We’ll go to the studios where famous films were created.

We travel to the well-known Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. It is a fortified village that has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An impressive illustration of southern Moroccan architecture is in Ait Benhaddou. The ksar is mostly a collection of homes. The Kasbah has also been featured in many films and television series.

After traveling over the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, we arrive in Marrakech and drop you off at a destination of your choice.
